Rights and responsibilities of individuals and organizations are spelled out in state and federal regulations, plus the OSU Radiation Safety Manual, all of which are available in the Radiation Safety Office.

In essence, the individual is responsible for being informed, obeying ground rules, and reporting any problem; the organization is responsible for ensuring that individuals are properly trained and informed, that all regulations are complied with, and that proper documentation is maintained. Everyone has a right to have a reasonably safe work place, and to know what hazards exist and what to do about them.
