Crane, Hoist, and Sling Overview
Moving large, heavy loads is critical to a considerable part of the University’s research and support activities. While cranes are built for safe and economical operation, there are significant hazards to be considered for the equipment operator, workers in proximity to them, and the surrounding facilities. These hazards can be significantly minimized, if not eliminated, through advanced planning and preparation.
