The training topics listed comprise the required minimum training based on the employee’s job roles and activities. The supervisor is responsible to ensure their employees receive adequate training according to the specific job tasks being performed.
Access Training System

Notes:

  • The supervisor may need to augment the topics listed with other training materials of their own and/or unique to their work. The supervisor must document these trainings independently.
  • Some trainings are automatically assigned based on job activities listed for the employee. Additional trainings can be found via the “Course Directory.”
  • SciShield will send out automatic emails when a training is coming up due or is overdue.
Required Training:
  • OSU Agricultural Safety Training
  • The OSU Agricultural Safety Training Program fulfills the requirements of Farm Shop Safety, Tractor Safety, and Safety Data Sheets. This is the minimum training required to work in an agricultural environment. Other agricultural-related training may be needed depending on the work performed and should be discussed with your supervisor.  If universal or hazardous wastes will be generated by you, the Hazardous & Universal Waste training modules should also be taken, located here: https://ehs.oregonstate.edu/training/hazwaste
